about
Lotus is able to encapsulate a small piece of their cathartic live shows on the studio version of Destroyer. The composition draws inspiration from American post-rock and 70s Krautrock with dual distorted guitars slowly building over a driving beat. The force of destruction is one of transformation here – the music is not mournful, it is celebration and release.

Was just listening to my first show, then this.... Amazing to see how far these guys have come. Stellar album across the board, but Return to Elsewhere is on another level. Fakecascade
Aussie six-piece showcases a buoyant co-mingling of jazz-funk grooves, snappy post-punk riffs, and krautrock motoriks. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 25, 2023
